A refuge area is essential to preserve the effectiveness of Bt technologies, such as INTACTA RR2 PRO®, in pest management. To ensure sustainable insect control, it is recommended to plant up to 20% of the total soybean area with non-Bt varieties, such as conventional or RR soybeans. This practice keeps non-resistant insects in the environment, reducing the chances of pests developing resistance to the technology.

How should the refuge be planted?
For the refuge to work, the area must be no more than 800 meters from the Bt field. Planting a variety with a cycle similar to the INTACTA RR2 PRO® soybean also helps synchronize plant development.
